While working with bamboo craftsmen in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, we identified an opportunity to create bamboo fishing rods. Uttarakhand is a mountain state and a prime destination for angling and fishing, but most amateur fishing rods are imported. We felt there was an opportunity for local craftsmen to step in.
One fish rod can be disassembled, the other one is carved from a single stalk of 1" bamboo. Both can have be personalized according to the users specifications - length, weight, adding initials etc.
